Also, another issue is pictures. Copy-pasting won't work, even in between the BBC Codes. The only way is to insert the picture's link. If it is a picture you found online, go to the site, and right-click it. Click the "Copy Shortcut" option. Later, paste it in between the BBC Codes, and your picture will work. If it is a picture saved in your computer, go to a picture sharing website,(Tinypic, Imgur, Photobucket), and after a successful upload, you'll find the image code. Copy it, and there's your link to put in.

       Happy Picture-ing!

Basic Training / BBC Code- Tutorial
« on: December 22, 2012, 01:00:34 pm »
Now, some of you might not frequent forums. The thing is, there is an entirely different system to messages then you'd see in Word, or on an E-mail.
Luckily, most BBC Codes are simplified into the buttons you see above when you type. But when they're clicked, some strange text in brackets. This is supposed to happen. Simply insert the desired text in between, and when it's posted, it will appear as you wish!(If done correctly.) Here are a few basics:

Any questions regarding BBC Codes can be asked here.

The year? 2045. The place? The ruins of an area once known as the bustling city of Chicago. The who?
Well, that's for you to decide...

Robocalypse
V 1.0

You descend from a weary state of unconsciousness, the hazy glow of the sun glaring into your eyes. As you steadily begin to situate yourself, you observe the surroundings in which you appeared in such an ominous matter. It seems to be the wreckage of your boat. Can't seem to remember wrecking it...  Out of nowhere, striking pains emerge from your gut, and your revival efforts are brought to an abrupt halt. You look up towards the ever intensifying sun, but in it's place is a welcoming hand. You gratefully grasp it, and soon enough you're on your feet. A short but well built man stands in front of you, with satchel on his back, and a weapon in hand. "Who are you?" You quickly ask. "Nigel." "Nigel who?"
"Just Nigel." He responds, a faint grin escaping his face. Quick as lightning, he draws his strange weapon, pointed directly at your head."Now you tell me traveller. Who are you?"

Who are you?

*note* This game introduces a new concept with battles: duels. Therefor, speed is now an issue for duelling. If your weapon says 1/3 for rate of fire, it means 1 shot every three seconds. Each shot does the listed damage. So, if your weapon says 2/5, it means 2 shots every 5 seconds. Don't worry, during duels, I'll do the math.

Ranching, farming, and trading
Ranching and Farming all take place at your house, and require a lot of extra space.
Therefor, a tax must be issued for it. It is easily paid, however if your property is not well maintained, or natural events occur,it can be difficult. Simply pay a set amount for crop seeds, and at harvest time you sell it for a fortune. With Ranching, you must purchase animals, and pay a small weekly fee for feed/care. With ranching, you get money every week, not just at harvest time, and requirees less work, so it's more desirable even though it brings in less.   Trading is a great way to earn money, because you don't need to be present 24/7, but when you are, items almost always sell. However, there is a weekly tax for having a stall in The Tradin' Post.

Quests:
Quests can be collected by talking to strangers, and can take you to any spot in the map. Rewards can be anything. Some quests are dangerous, like stopping a bandit, some are calm, like delivering a piece of mail.
